However, that was only short-term, as she dropped out of studies to give birth to her first child. She continued her clothing business, and later started learning how to play poker. She practiced by playing on Full Tilt Poker with “play money”, and once she felt comfortable she started using real money. However, her first experience in a real game was completely different, and she spent some time getting accustomed to the real game of poker. Nevertheless, that didn’t last long and in her second tournament, Beth took 8th place at the World Series of Poker Ladies’ event. Two years later, she competed at the 2007 World Series of Poker and got to 2nd place out of more than 800 players in the $3K No-Limit Hold ‘em event.
In total, she has won three World Series of Poker final tables, and has also won money prizes in thirteen tournaments, which helped her reach the top of the Women’s All Time Money List.
