Tammy Haddad and husband Ted Greenberg are splitting

Veteran TV producer and professional Washington connector Tammy Haddad and her husband of more than two decades, lawyer Ted Greenberg, are splitting, according to people close to the couple.

“It’s always sad when a marriage ends, but they are working to resolve this privately,” a friend of Haddad’s said, though neither Haddad nor Greenberg was available to comment on the pending divorce.

Haddad, who has logged countless hours behind the scenes at several major networks including CNN and MSNBC, met Greenberg in 1988.

“He read about me in the newspaper and called,” Haddad told WWD in a 2011 profile.

The couple married in the summer of 1991 and have a teenage daughter and son together.

In 2007, Haddad founded Haddad Media after leaving her job producing MSNBC’s “Hardball.” She’s advised Newsweek, the National Journal, Google and HBO, connecting the big names outside of the loop with the right people on the inside. Greenberg is a prominent Washington attorney specializing in anti-money laundering efforts. Now in private practice, he held top posts at the World Bank and the Justice Department.

The couple is perhaps best known for hosting an epic annual “garden brunch” on the morning before the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner. The event started in 1993 as a modest affair in their Palisades back yard. By 2012, the swarm of Hollywood celebrities and administration bigwigs that Haddad attracted forced them to find a bigger venue and a larger host committee.

One sign of trouble in paradise: This year, Greenberg’s name was noticeably missing from the exclusive invitation.
