Barstool Sports CEO Erika Ayers is 'leaving company' after seven years of MASSIVE growth, a $500 mil
Barstool Sports will begin its search for a new leader as company CEO Erika Ayers is reportedly leaving.
Ayers first came to Barstool in 2016 and stayed with the company for its fast growth and bombastic nature, which has been deemed misogynistic by some.
The 48-year-old Ayers also spent time at AOL and the WWE as an executive before joining Barstool.
Now, she’s looking for somewhere else to be employed, per the New York Post.
Ayers worked hand in hand with controversial Barstool founder Dave Portnoy for her entire tenure with the company.

Ayers also oversaw a massive revenue increase for Barstool. It was acquired by The Chernin Group for $15 million in 2016, and was sold for over $500 million last February.
PENN Entertainment sold Barstool back to Portnoy for $1 last August in a move to get rid of the asset.
Portnoy is also famous for his ‘One Bite Pizza Reviews’ where he rates pizza slices on a scale of up to 10.
Portnoy started Barstool as a gambling site in 2003. With Ayers at the helm, Barstool truly took a bigger chunk of the media landscape.
And now, Barstool will reportedly look for a new CEO.
